I can't believe my eyes.
...

One of the most astounding things I have ever come across is this thing - I quote :

'I am saying that, having suffered trauma, the victim is elevated to a privileged rank because of that trauma - the privilege would not exist without the trauma.' (http://impertinence.livejournal.com/480847.html?thread=9983823&style=mine)

I can't believe someone actually thought that, leave alone write it down as a well-constructed sentence. Just reading that sentence has shocked me so much that I keep re-reading it because I find it impossible to believe it actually exists.

Yeah, a lot of the things said have . . . I mean, just floored me. I mean, you don't like to warn and aren't going to warn? Fair play, whatevs. But to go into a rape survivor's post about her trauma and say something like that? Really? Really? I just . . . walked away from the computer today, because some of this shit is putting my blood pressure through the roof.

Ye Gods, just go and read http://aukestrel.livejournal.com/388981.html

I'm dying from it here

I approached the conversation with impertinence as I would an intellectual conversation with one of my own teens.

Does she realise she has written it even better than she'd meant to by not linking 'impertinence's' journal ? I'm larfing my head clean off XD
