Once upon a time, I decided that whenever I come across something that really infuriates me online, I’ll consider well before I react.

I have considered, and now, I shall speak … er … I mean, write a letter. It’s all about free speech and the necessity of speaking out, amirite ? – even if as a letter …

So. Here’s an open letter, then, ‘kay ?

I'm Indian too, and I'm ashamed.

I’m ashamed to see a presumptuous Indian which takes for granted the fact that it has the right to speak for every other Indian without verifying whether it may do so.

I’m disgusted to see a racist Indian which classifies people as coloured and white.

It creeps me out to see a bullying Indian which picks on a kid asking honest questions because said kid has phrased questions in a way that caused it ZOMG So Much Butthurt !
And of course, the post is made in said Indian’s own space - therefore naturally presupposing full participation by it’s own group. That does amount to ganging up behind the back. EWW !

I did consider commenting to the post at http://colorblue.dreamwidth.org/2100.html, but I have no desire to lower myself by engaging with a bullying, presumptuous racist.

Btw, if it seems that I am being harsher towards the Indian in question than to the people of other nationalities who’re involved/wish to be involved, then I must assert that colour_me_butthurt/color_blue/colorblue should take it as a compliment that this is so. After all, it is an Indian too, and therefore --– kinda family, eh ?

Dear lj user karanguni, I, as an Indian, apologise for the existence of such hideous Indians that are, actually, --- IMVVHO, of course – but then this is my personal space ! --- wastes of good oxygen.

And finally, just to make this completely clear – my response stems entirely from my considerable understanding of Indian culture, values and tradition and isn’t personal in any way whatsoever.
