There's one Durga Puja going on near home and yesterday, in the morning, according to the announcement I could hear, someone had run off with the flowers needed for worship and was being exhorted over a microphone to return with the flowers as soon as possible.
I made lasagna yesterday. For the first time. And it was Good ! Even though I used fresh pasta sheets I made and not the shop bought stuff (couldn't be bothered to go and search) ! WHEEEE !! And guess who taught me to make lasagna --- lina_thegreat ! She whips up a mean lasagna YumSlurrp ! :)
mahua_m has gone CAPSLOCK. Whenevah I mail her she replies in CAPSLOCK *Snorfle*

Icky cold a bit back. Ugh. And my comp was a mess. ‘ve been reorganising files and stuff. Still not fully done, but yes, some done. It’s a bore.
Been reorganising my profile, too. Not finished yet.
Hmm. I thought I didn’t have a ‘friending policy’ … but it now seems I do. I don’t friend those that read dodgy to me and I don’t defriend first. I don’t want to put that in the profile, though. I hate to put up friending policy/ies. Looks a bit … umm … odd to me.
I changed the name of me blogs. All of them. I also changed the email. It’s f-locked, of course. ‘ve been watching a bit too much POTC.
I was watching ‘Om Shanti Om’ the other day. There’s a bit where some girls are appearing for screen tests, and there’s one who’s asked to say the dialogue ‘with affection’. The way she then came out with it made me think ‘she belongs to the Hector Barbossa school of affectionate verbal communication’. *Snorfle*
Talking of POTC, I’d love to see Gary Oldman and Johnny Depp together in some film. Should be fun !
I really should get back to the drabbles and the PTerry one I was writing when stuff went pear-shaped around me.
And there’s another fic-thing brewing in my head. Let me see if I can do it properly.

According to the makers of those toys, distributing material that helps cause extremely horrible and painful deaths of pet animals is really just one of those things that happen and doesn’t really matter much, because after all, pet animals are only property.

I swear I'll biff someone on the jaw if said someone says it to my face.
The only thing the words 'cutting edge' bring to my mind is a sharp blade. Knife, scalpel, flint ... doesn't matter what other sharp tool ... But for all the Gods, how in hell does so-called-technology be 'cutting edge' ? It doesn't mean a thing !
And yeah, self-glorification.
'We're the best ... ... ...' this side of somewhere blah blah blah ad nauseum once more to my face and I'll haul off and biff the say-er one. Honestly, I will.
And of course, the worst are probably the apple-polishers.
They actually think I will succumb to doling out freebies.

What, just what is it about me that broadcasts 'I'm silly, I'm stupid, I can be conned, I'm gullible, I'm an idiot who can be made to do whatever someone else wants' ?
I wish I knew.
It's probably that I am a woman.
And people whinge about racism ? Huh ! At least there's something clear-cut about racism. It exists. I know it does. Most people know it exists. Many know how it operates. But how about the way people seem to perceive me ? How about the widespread assumptions I feel around me that states 'women have dignity and intelligence only if donated by men' ? Well, I don't think it's a good idea for anyone to try this on me. I may seem to look nice, and sweet (BLERRGH !) but I'm not nice or sweet. And I really can do pretty nasty things if I put my mind to doing things like that.
I am still trying not to do such things, of course. But at the mo', it's rather a precariously positioned choice.
I don't think it's too surprising I'm watching an awful lot of 'Sweeney Todd' these days.

Nothing like a few serious emergencies coming up together to sort (and sift) out the 'fair weather friends', is there ? I wish to goodness the thick little twit would take the hint from his lj being defriended (after having opened the lj in question from an invite from me, btw) and get the hell out of my life from me and my lj for now and forever. A good thing I didn't let that one onto here. 'nyways, I hope I never come across this one ever again. For his sake.
Someday I hope to be able to talk about those emergencies.
Someday.
It's not going to be anytime soon, though.
